CarMIE Privacy Policy

Front-Line (the “Company”) complies with the Personal Information Protection Act, the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information, and other applicable laws, and establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy to protect the personal information of users of the CarMIE application (the “Service”). CarMIE is a service that connects to a vehicle's OBD-II diagnostic adapter (e.g. ELM327) to collect and record vehicle operation and diagnostic data, transmits it to an analysis server, and provides diagnostic reports and trip records.

1. Personal Information and Data We Collect

The Service collects the following items and transmits and stores them on the Company's analysis server (carmie.frontli.ne.kr).

The Service does not collect direct identity information such as your name, phone number, or email, and does not collect advertising identifiers or any information for tracking purposes.

4. Processing of Location Information

With your consent, the Service collects and uses GPS-based location information for driving analysis. Location data is stored separately from vehicle sensor data and is linked only through the trip session identifier. You may withdraw consent to provide location information at any time via your device settings or within the app; if you do, the driving-analysis feature may be limited.

5. Provision to Third Parties and Cross-Border Transfer

As a rule, the Company does not provide your data to third parties. However, to identify the vehicle model, the VIN is transmitted to an external public API as follows.

No operational data or location information other than the VIN is transmitted to the above API.

6. Retention and Use Period

Collected data is retained for three (3) years from the date of collection and then destroyed. If you request deletion before then, it will be destroyed without delay unless a separate retention obligation is required by applicable law. Information in electronic file form is securely deleted so that it cannot be recovered or reproduced.

The mobile application does not use automatic collection devices such as advertising or analytics cookies.
